Emma Clancey is a writer and medical student living in Sydney. Her current work-in-progress, a literary thriller titled Bad Medicine, was shortlisted for the 2025 Penguin Literary Prize and awarded the 2024 Australian Society of Authors/Varuna Ray Koppe Young Writers Fellowship as well as a 2025 Wheeler Centre Hot Desk Fellowship.
